The introductory part, The Creative Process , focuses on developing a habit of writing. If fiction is your thing you could try writing more than one so that you have the kernel of story ideas for both TMA5 and the EMA. You will be expected to submit your tutor-marked assignments TMAs online through the eTMA system unless there are some difficulties which prevent you from doing so. It will help you to identify your strengths and interests as a writer by giving you the opportunity to write in a range of genres: October Review posted: Students from other tutor groups, however, set up their own discussion forums and there was one, with about 5 really active members, which suited me.
At times it felt a little ‘easy’ or as if there wasn’t much to the course. I found that it was quite limited – I don’t really know what I expected in terms of ‘leeway’, but I just felt constrained and it wasn’t until the EMA that we were sort of free to do what we wanted and I received my highest mark. It was a big surprise to me that I could write poetry and there are plenty of blog posts about this elsewhere on Themself. Essentially the course teachings made me worse! I am still making up my mind about the Level 3 Creative Writing module, but will certainly continue writing poetry. Congratualtions on succeeding, it must be hard work for you with a full time job and growing family.
If you have a query about a particular module, please contact your Regional Centre. The end-of-module assessment EMAwhich is an independent project, must creativs submitted online.

I learned to count the beats of a line on my fingers, and mutter my compositions to myself as I wrote. So glad I took this module. If you’re on a low income you might be eligible for help with some of these costs after your module has started. I am an aspiring writer who has waded through the deeply depressing Arts and Humanities sections cretive this degree and am really looking forward to having something I have written properly critiqued, for good or for bad!
This got challenging around EMA submission and exam revision time but being able to switch from pure literature to a creative module made doubling up far more pleasurable. It is easy to get a pass in this module by simply demonstrating the skills the module material asks you to.
Your electronic tuition is supported by two face-to-face day schools. One day, closer to my retirement, I might do a proper BA in Humanities.
Please be reassured, though, that neither marking nor feedback are writinf Some of the central issues raised by life writing are discussed, including the nature of memory and forgetting, the performance of the self, and the representation of others. It didn’t make me into a writer in fact writign showed me why I’m not but it did help me understand the writing process, which I’m sure will be of benefit on future literature courses.
What was it like? In Part 3, Writing Poetrythe role and function of poetry are discussed. You will need Audio-CD player. Yes, take now Yes, univversity later No thank you.
A215 – Creative Writing Assignments so far
Future availability Creative writing starts once a year — in October. Morning Pages involved waking up earlier than usual groanand the first action before brushing teeth, going to the toilet, stretching arms above head, or any of those waking-up actions, was to grab the notebook and start freewriting.
There are other types of life writing couse as travel and food writing, which I should have explored more. I learnt the most in this section of the course. There was much discussion in the Student Cafe about the form this notebook should take, leather bound mega expensive Moleskine de luxe notebook, or a cheap A4 student pad?

At times it felt a little ‘easy’ or as if there wasn’t much to the course.
On the other hand, I did find the notebook useful when sitting down in the evening to write, as a place to scribble random ideas and fragments, or crazy ideas that occur when I am sitting drinking with my husband. I wish you had done a follow-up for advanced creative writing and how things turned out for you. They also value the skills that students learn and can apply in the workplace.
I enjoyed this course more than I thought that I would.
